The Toastmasters movement is an international body, started by Mr.Ralph Smedley, in California in the year 1924. Its mission is to make effective oral communication a world wide reality. Through member clubs, it helps men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking – vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership potential, foster human understanding and contribute to the betterment of mankind.

LA1924 is the third oldest club of Toastmasters in the country established in the year 1998. The club was founded by Deepak Justing & Vinay Kamath. With over a decade of experience, and over 40 + members, it marks a special status that only few clubs enjoy. The club has a rich calibre of mentors and evaluators with members from diverse backgrounds such as banking, corporate executives, doctors, software professionals, BPO, sales executives, entrepreneurs amongst others.

LA 1924 has helped to start clubs at several locations such as IIM- Bangalore, Sun Microsystems, LogicaCMG, just to name a few. What differentiates this club from the rest is its standard in conducting club meetings and for adherence to the norms set by TM International.

We meet at 7:15 pm, every WEDNESDAY at Royal Orchid, MG Road Bangalore.
